I was nominated for a Nobel Prize (by Bon Appétit) and some James Beard Awards (including for my Taste column). The editors of The Norton Reader selected my essay on cooking with one arm for their anthology of non-fiction, which includes writing from Barack Obama, Ernest Hemingway, and Jesus.
